K-3 Teacher Guide

Big Questions are the focus of webquesting. For primary students, not-so-big questions attempt to set the stage for an introduction to webquesting. It is assumed that primary students will complete webquesting activities under the guidance of the teacher, other adult, or older student. Narratives will need to be read aloud. You may want to complete the webquest as a class using an LCD or large screen monitor. In any regard, previewing the quest before working with students is essential, so that you can plan the modifications you will need to make according to the needs of your students.

Specifically, for Safety Rules, it is necessary to go to

http://www.need.org/needpdf/infobook_activities/PriInfo/CoalP.pdf

in order to download and print the student booklet on coal for primary children. Downloading and printing may take about ten minutes depending on your equipment.
