MINEQUEST BULLETIN BOARD

Welcome Wyoming Mining Association Members! Whether you are working with teachers in your local district, using webquests at home with your children or staying up to date WMA business, this Bulletin Board provides you with more information about the Minequest site.

For more information on the Minequest site, contact your Wyoming Mining Association Office.

What's New....

• The Minequest site now offers teachers and students shorter webquest experiences in the form of Day Treks.

• Math Treks focus on the math skills that are used everyday in the mining industry.

Your on the job experience is a great resource! If you have an idea for a Day Trek, Math Trek or original Minequest based on your knowledge of the mining workplace, contact the Wyoming Mining Association office.

Why webquests?

1) Minequests provide a way for teachers to address technology and other state standards while kids engage with mining industry info.

2) Minequests go beyond a study of facts and into providing opportunities for problem solving and the application and evaluation of information.

3) Minequests seek to engage students as active learners, practicing the teamwork skills they will need on the job.

Troubleshooting

Finding good web resource links is always a challenge. Broken links are particularly frustrating to teachers and students using webquests in the classroom. If you visit a link and have reservations about its accuracy or if you discover a broken link, please contact your Wyoming Mining Association office.
